The Griffin conservatory

From the moment you step inside, you will feel like you belong

The Griffin has been a ‘cwtch’ for the Dale community for 300 years. In Welsh, the word ‘cwtch’ means to give someone a safe place. And that’s precisely what we do. We are a safe, honest home-from-home where you can rest awhile, be yourself, and gather with loved ones whilst enjoying a decent drink and meal. From the moment you step inside, you will feel like you belong: whoever you are and wherever you come from. Come in and see for yourself. We promise, there’s an ocean of warmth waiting.

At the helm Simon and Siân

In 2010, Simon and Sian returned home to Pembrokeshire for a lifestyle change, bringing their family back to the coast they love. Originally trained as an architect, Simon followed his true passion for food — a journey that soon earned him the affectionate title of “The Accidental Chef.” Now, 15 years on, Simon remains the creative force behind The Griffin’s kitchen, having grown it into a destination for exceptional seafood and coastal dining. His talent and dedication were recognised when he was named Pub Chef of the Year in 2021, an accolade that reflects the standards and passion that continue to define The Griffin today.
