Closed January and February

As many of you know we are very seasonal and after 15 years at the helm, this place means more to us than than we can ever put into words. Normally we'd open for long weekends in January and February but this year we have made the decision to take a proper winter pause. As well as building a fresh team for the year ahead, we also have some family health matters that need our time and attention. Taking a step back during the quieter months feels like the right decision, both personally and for the future of the Griffin. Thank you for your continued support, kindness and understanding.

Please note, well behaved dogs are only allowed in the small bar area of the pub and on our roof top terrace>

Coastal dining focusing on local and sustainable produce and seafood

At The Griffin, we are passionate about showcasing the very best of Pembrokeshire. Our coastal location allows us to source fresh seafood directly from local fishermen, like Danny in Little Haven and Mark from LilyMay in Dale, who supply us with fresh lobster, crab, and sea bass.

We’re also proud to serve Atlantic Edge Oysters from Angle Bay (literallyfrom across the bay), oysters grown in Pembrokeshire’s pristine Atlantic waters, prized for their clean, briny flavour and celebrated by chefs for their quality and sustainability. These oysters reflect the unique “merroir” of the local marine environment, making them a special treat straight from the sea to your plate.

But our commitment to local doesn’t stop at the water. We source meats from nearby farms, potatoes from across the bay, and freshly baked breads from Farmcottage Bakery. Our drinks list also champions local producers, including craft ales from Bluestone Brewery, small-batch gins from local distiller Lobster and Môr, and carefully selected wines from independent suppliers.

Every ingredient is chosen with care, helping us create dishes that are full of flavour, character, and a true sense of place. By working closely with these local suppliers, we not only support our community but ensure every meal at The Griffin reflects the best of Pembrokeshire — fresh, seasonal, and unforgettable

Bringing a fun, relaxed dining experience

At The Griffin, we aim to create a dining experience that’s relaxed, welcoming, and full of life — just the way we love to enjoy eating out ourselves. Over the past 15 years, we’ve built a place where friends, families, and visitors can gather, laugh, and enjoy great food in a warm, friendly atmosphere.

Our style is simple: fresh, locally sourced seafood, paired with fantastic wines and drinks, served with care by our little Griffin family. Add in the unrivalled sea views over the bay, and every visit becomes more than a meal — it’s a moment to unwind, connect, and savour the best of Pembrokeshire

We work closely with local breweries to offer a varied selection of beers and real ale

We work closely with local breweries to offer a varied selection of handcrafted ales that reflect the very best of Pembrokeshire. On our bar you’ll now find a great range from Bluestone Brewery, a family‑run microbrewery based in the foothills of north Pembrokeshire, known for its quality, sustainable brewing and flavoursome real ales crafted using local water and traditional techniques.

We’re also proud to pour our own Griffin Ale — a smooth amber ale with rich malts, subtle toasted notes and a hint of caramel — created just for us to complement the great local food we serve.

Whether you’re enjoying a pint inside by the fire or outside on the seawall watching the world go by, our selection of local ales brings a true taste of Pembrokeshire to every glass
